The compact version takes about six hours without Fu He Hui or the West Bund pop-up. Add either one for a full day. Adding both makes the route rushed.

Stop 1: HAI550 on Huaihai Road

Start at HAI550, a renovated commercial building on one of central Shanghai's best-known shopping streets. Local reports showed Holland and Zendaya visiting the building, including Matcha Wang and UNDEFEATED CAFE.

Matcha Wang is on the first floor. Shanghai's tourism portal currently lists its hours as 10:00-22:00, but check the venue on the day because individual shops can change hours.

This is a better starting point than treating the celebrity visit as a queue for one photograph. Huaihai Road also gives you independent boutiques, malls and easy access to the Former French Concession. Arrive around 10:00 or 10:30, have a drink, then walk east or take a short taxi to lunch.

Stop 2: Sesame Noodles at Weixiangzhai

Weixiangzhai is a compact, long-running noodle shop known for sesame-paste noodles and beef soup. It is inexpensive, local and much less polished than a celebrity event venue. That contrast is exactly why it makes the route more interesting.

Order the sesame noodles, then add beef soup if you are hungry. The room can be busy and English may be limited, so keep the Chinese name and address on your phone. Small restaurants can also be easier when Alipay or WeChat Pay is already working.

Stop 3: Yuyuan Bazaar and the Old City

Continue to the Yu Garden area by metro or taxi. Public videos and reports showed the pair exploring the commercial old-city area, including tea, qipao and clothing stops. Reports specifically mentioned BalaThe tea shop and a Semir store.

Do not expect every shop display or product to remain exactly as it appeared during the visit. Retail promotions move quickly. The durable experience is the neighborhood itself:

the busy commercial bazaar
the paid classical Yu Garden
easy onward access toward the Bund

Yu Garden and Yuyuan Bazaar are not the same attraction. The bazaar is the free commercial area; the garden is a ticketed classical garden with its own opening hours. Allow 60-90 extra minutes if you want to enter the garden.

Stop 4: Finish at the Bund

From Yuyuan Bazaar, continue to the Bund around late afternoon. The walk is possible, but summer heat and large road crossings can make a short taxi the better choice.

Holland and Zendaya also appeared in Shanghai skyline and waterfront promotional material. We are using the Bund primarily as a sensible visitor-friendly finish, not claiming it was the next private stop in their schedule.

Aim for the riverfront before sunset, look back at the historic Bund buildings, then stay as the Pudong skyline lights come on. The waterfront is free. On a weekend or public holiday, expect crowd controls and slower walking.

Optional Dinner: Fu He Hui

Fu He Hui is an upscale vegetarian tasting-menu restaurant in a restored villa. Local reports connected it with the Shanghai visit, but it belongs in a different budget category from the noodle shop.

Book ahead, confirm the current menu and allow a taxi ride from the Bund or Old City. This is a splurge ending, not a spontaneous backup dinner.

Status: Reported dining stop. Reservation and current pricing must be checked directly.

Limited-Time Add-On: Spider-Man at West Bund

The West Bund is not close enough to slip casually between HAI550 and Yuyuan. Treat it as a separate afternoon or evening module and check the live event listing before traveling. Limited-time exhibitions can change entry, queue and merchandise rules without much notice.

After August 16, remove this stop from the plan unless the organizer announces an extension.

Status: Officially listed limited-time promotional event, not a confirmed leisure stop by the actors.

Affordable city-walk version

10:00 - HAI550 and Matcha Wang.
11:45 - Weixiangzhai for noodles.
13:00 - Yuyuan Bazaar and optional Yu Garden.

This is the strongest route for most first-time visitors because it mixes the reported stops with places you would want to see anyway.
