The museum is directly across the river from the Bund—about 1 km straight-line distance—5.6 km from Jing'an Temple, 31.1 km from Pudong Airport and 16.3 km from Hongqiao Airport.
Why visit
MAP has 13 galleries and more than 10,000 square meters of exhibition space. Its 34.4-meter central hall spans B1 to Floor 4. Two mirror galleries face the Bund and turn the river view into part of the display.
The program changes frequently. As of July 2026 it includes major exhibitions devoted to Giorgio Morandi, Jean Nouvel and Carolina Caycedo. Always check the live exhibition list before buying.
